Under Paris Roofs Custom Dollhouse

A last dollhouse for the year, Under Paris Roofs is a custom dollhouse that will be the perfect backdrop for minis.
I kept this one very neutral so it could go with any style.
The aged exterior is smooth white plaster with a grey faux metal roof. The trims are done in grey and white.
I covered a bead with white nail polish to give the doorknob a porcelain look.
This house is 20 1/4" tall x 16 1/4" wide x 16 1/2" deep.

On the side of the house is a bump out section with a huge picture window. Perfect little veranda or artist studio.
I used a crown plaster embellishment above the door. This is one made by Melissa Frances.
The aging is done with brown ink pads.

The lights are battery operated. The switches for the chandeliers and the fireplace mantle fire are hidden in the chimney with the battery.
You can see the porch light above the door.
Inside is filled with trims! Coffered and beam ceilings, window trims, moldings...
Here is a roaring fire in the mantel. This is controlled with a different switch from the lights.
The bump out entry has picture frame moldings on the walls.
I made all the crystal chandeliers by hand.

Upstairs is nice and tall for furniture.  There are plenty of windows for lots of light. Ready to move in? This house is available in my shop: cinderellamoments.etsy.com

A very Merry Christmas to all of you. Enjoy your time off with your family. The best New Year too! May 2018 be the best year ever!

Merry Trailer Custom Dollhouse

One of my last commissions for 2017 is Merry Trailer for a little girl in California.
This trailer is 14" long x 9 1/2" wide x 10 1/2" tall and is my own design not a kit.
The light switch and battery is hidden in the removable "air conditioner" on top of the trailer. I made that out of wood. It's made of wood. The ridged texture cardboard on the exterior can be found in the scrapbook paper section in any craft shop.

This is the front of the trailer. That's real chalkboard on paper.
For the interior I made everything by hand too.

The ceiling is scrapbook paper. They are different designs I cut and paste together for a very vintage effect. I age everything with brown ink pads.

I hope you are all doing well and creating tremendous things!

Half Scale Custom Dollhouse: La Maison de Campagne

I don't do many half scale(1/24) dollhouses. But a commission request came in from Don to turn La Maison de Campagne into a smaller version and I decided to give it a go!
Something I like to do is get purchased elements to keep me in scale. For this project it was the staircase and door frame. This is a great tip for any scale. Buy a door or a window. Just something that will remind you of the scale you should keep while building your custom house.
 This dollhouse came out to 9 1/2" across x 11 1/2" tall x 10" deep.

I chose to put the battery and switches under the house since the chimneys are so small.

For this project, I used Pico LED lights and fire kits I got here:  https://www.modeltrainsoftware.com/fire-led.html
https://www.modeltrainsoftware.com/smd-chip-leds.html
These Pico lights are very good. It's remarkable how much light comes out of something so tiny!

Thanks for coming over!
