A Dollhouse!

Here's what I've been up to lately: I've been asked several times if I could create dollhouses.I'm not getting in over my head. I'm starting small!

I'm probably going for a french cottage look.

Or maybe something like this one below:

I'll probably do a mix of these styles. You can't go wrong with a cottage! I want to make it a very romantic, shabby chic type. The kit is on its way and I'll keep you all posted on my progress!

OOPS!

I had totally forgotten the house numbers! And the support pieces on the column. When I looked at the pictures I thought: something's missing...

Bewitched Sitcom House Miniature Paper Model

I finally finished it ! This one took me a while! But I made it a priority and... VOILA!
The colors were tough to figure out. But after much research, I figured out that the bricks were much redder than the picture above. I checked out all sorts of blogs and found pictures of the house today, the sitcom set, and this picture above. With some creative license, I came up with this mini model.
The front porch has hand carved concrete bricks, 2 planters with hand dyed and cut leaves, porch light, a mailbox that opens and can hold mail, a metal hand made door knob on the door with cutouts and 2 sidelights.
This is the side view of the individual board siding.
 The awnings are cardboard.
Here's a good shot showing the texture of the roof.

Alice in Wonderland House Miniature(Antony House)

Here's my latest! It's the house that was used in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. It's called Antony House in Cornwall.

This one is cardboard base entirely covered on all 4 sides with concrete. Each stone is hand carved and individually painted to achieve that old estate look.

I love the color ocre on the gray stone. It really added the character this old house needed.

The roof is strips of individual shingles.
Back of house.

My version has 4 chimneys(instead of 8). They are hollow chimneys so you could stick cotton in to make it look like smoke.
