Both turret roofs open. I figure if the light bulbs go one day you could still get to it and either add another battery light or a battery operated candle. The battery and switch are hidden in the right turret.
I painted 3 rose pictures and put them in these little Melissa Frances frames.
I made a day bed. The mattress is burlap wrapped. I knitted a little pink throw with a tattered pink ruffle. And I made 2 other pillows: a bolster pillow tied with twine and another with a brown crown stamp.
There's room on the attic ledge for some old books or something.
The lats are exposed with some plaster in rough shape!
More wall "damage".
Night time!
This dollhouse is 16" across x 17" tall x 13" deep.
Inside the downstairs is 11" across x 10 1/4" deep x 8" tall.
The attic is about 6 1/2" tall.
This is going to Deana. Thank you Deana!
I Love it! This is my favorite, you are so creative. The person who gets this little house will be so pleased. I especially like the turrets...pure magic :)

Amazing, amazing, amazing!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCaroline, this is such an enchanting cottage for our sweet princess-in-waiting. All about it captivates. The little topiary, climbing vines, turrets with their glass stained windows, thatched roof so reminiscent of fairy tale cottages and those amazing tiny rose paintings within. When night comes, resting her head on the crown stamped pillow, our princess-in-waiting curls up under the dainty little ruffled throw, sighs longingly and enters the land of dreams. Guided by her night light and bewitched by the amazing little structure, her long-awaited knight in shining armour bids himself enter to see what splendour lies within. And so enfolds a fairy tale life of love, peace, and joy.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, gorgeous -just gorgeous!! I love the atmosphere in the cottage!
