I'm back from a trip to the beach! I wanted to share the finished Shabby Chic Maisonnette de Provence.
I fashioned this one after some cute properties in Provence. I kept the outside colors very sun bleached.
The white roses are mulberry paper and the vines are from the Hobby Lobby.
The crystal chandeliers have a battery operated bulb in the middle.
I hid the switch and battery in the chimney.
For the roof, I wanted a super rustic look. So I dyed pine shingles different colors and then curved each one into a barrel shape over the hot glue gun nozzle. I buttered each tile with oodles of plaster and placed them on the roof. All that extra plaster gives such a great old world look.
I made a crystal drop wind chime. I saw a real life sized one on Etsy and thought it would be great miniaturized.
And I had to put up a bunting banner. I mean it just looks too cute to leave out!
The entry has 2 doors that swing in.
The interior is Swedish Gustavian style with a gray, cream and white palette.
Remember my chair that I covered with a loose fitting slipcover? Here it is in its final setting.
The mantel is my own custom piece made from left over bits. The Trumeau mirror has an aged piece of mirror with spots.
The ceiling is planked in white.
This cottage is available at Cinderella Moments.
Thanks for coming over!
