At Home with Francesca & Darby Dollhouse

My latest commission build is a dollhouse I called " At Home With Francesca & Darby."
Darby contacted me with an idea for a dollhouse that resembled Anthropologie Dollhouse. This house is 19 1/2" tall x 18 1/4" across x 14 3/4" deep.
I made the little green tray table. We used a taupe color on the wall with white trim all dirtied up.  For more vintage, the siding not matching up like it's pieces that have been repaired over the years.
I made this little chair from this tutorial  http://www.evangelione.com/2007/11/wooden-chair-tutorial.html
This little wheelbarrow came fro Hobby Lobby.  I just painted it and made some little mushrooms out of air dry clay with coffee grounds as dirt.

This side is stucco- it's really ready mix concrete.
This side has the siding like the front.
I made another vintage stove (tutorial here).
This island is a design I saw when I first started building dollhouses. At the time I had no idea how to even begin making furniture.  This is a design by Kim over at http://littleroseyposey.blogspot.com/2011/06/handmade-farmhouse-kitchen-island.html

She had made it as a replica of her real kitchen island.  I haven't seen any new posts from her. But if you're out there I miss your cute dollhouse!

The F is for Francesca., Darby's daughter.

Here's the switch to all the lights. The battery is under the vines. Thanks so much for coming by!
Miss Gigie is very tired! She likes to sleep on my chair while I work.  Of course this just leaves me a sliver of chair to sit on. LOL! :D

  15. It's late & I have to work tomorrow so I was only able to skim over the pictures, but what I saw amazed me as usual. I especially loved the scalloping on the roof edge on the darling front porch. I also can't wait for a tutorial on how to make that adorable ready table. I'll look at all the pics more leisurely tomorrow. Happy Easter Caroline. Your kitty is adorable too by the way.

I went back and forth about having a bathroom in mine but decided against it which really stressed my husband out LOL...I told him we'll just pretend the imaginary lady who lives there has an outhouse:)

Love this! Going to check out some of the tutorials:)

  24. Okay, there are A LOT of details in this one that I simply adore. LOTS of details. Lots, as in way too many to even begin to mention. Just know that this is one of your best... which is saying something because every single house that you create is a masterpiece.

Seriously, there is terrific attention to details in this one.
