The tiny shabby streamside studio is coming together seamlessly! I love it.
I made the screen door, trimmed all the windows, painted the porch floor and sculpted the stone foundation.
Here I have the foundation painted and the flower box ready.
I thought I wouldn't be able to get many details inside. But I was able to put curtains on all the windows with the roses on top! The fireplace mantle has the "tin" tile insert. On top I put a rose painting instead of a mirror. The mirror was too bulky.
I made the chandelier with 6 curled pieces of wire. 3 are painted white and 3 have crystals strung on them. The light bulb is in the middle.
I made the roses with cotton fabric. It's just a fold, twist and roll method.
Upstairs also has curtains.
Before I put the roof on, I scored and carved out the plank ceiling and attached the fabric for the ceiling.
I am putting on the shingles one at a tie. I think it gives it such a sweet look.
The porch posts are toothpicks.
This is one of the 3 chandeliers. This is not a working one. It's just to look cute. There's another nonworking chandelier in the loft.
Tomorrow, I might have this little cutie finished. We'll see.

Teeny Weeny Shabby Streamside Studio 1/4th scale
I bought Santa's Village kit. It's a set of 6 little 1/4" scale houses. I thought I would do something simple trying this scale for the first time. NAHHHHH!
I saw the bake shop and immediately realized it could easily turn into the shabby streamside studio! I wasn't sure if I could do this. But I'm now well on my way so I'll share what I've done so far.
I cut out all the new windows and door.
I carved out the downstairs floor with a box cutter type knife to get the wood floor.
I decided to put a light in there. I just taped the wires and switch while I'm working on this.
I also did the "tin" ceiling. I used my tiny glue gun to make the designs.
This is the fireplace mantle and front door.
I plastered the interior and sculpted in the wainscoting. I also hinged in the front door. That was really hard! Who knew such tiny nails would be so much trouble.
OK you can say it! I've lost my mind with this project. I just get carried away.

The Sugared Violet Dollhouse
The Sugared Violet Dollhouse is done.
This one has turned out very sweet. It still totally shabby chic!
I love the way the front door area turned out. It looks very cozy. The awning is glittered! I put a pumpkin there to have a Cinderella touch.
The chimney will remain unglued because I hid the battery and switch inside.
This house is sold and going to be part of Camille's village. Thank you Camille!
And thank you all for your sweet comments about the chandelier tutorial from the previous post. I'm so glad you like it and found it helpful. And by the way my toe is doing great and all healed. I'm left with a ginormous bruise which means no high heels for a while longer. : ( But I'll survive. LOL!
