The "Swan Shabby Chic Cottage" Dollhouse is ready for it's new owner,Barbara.
This is the same house I wrote the how to book on. But I added a couple of inches. The original is 15 1/4" and this one is 18 1/2" tall.
I made the screen door out of 2 pieces of 1/16" bass. And used real screen material in between.
In this version I also decided to add a tiny chimney to hide all the batteries and switches.
Barbara and her daughter chose the pink swan wallpaper I had once used in a house called Swan Lake House. It's a scrapbook paper from Hobby Lobby.
All the "tin"tiles are made using my hot glue technique.
The loft is the reason I made the house taller. Barbara ordered a bed to go here. In the original "My Shabby Streamside Studio" by Sandy Foster, there was just space enough for a mattress up here.
I hope you enjoyed seeing this little house again. It's a very sweet project for sure.
Next up a 1/6 scale adobe style Blythe house. Now this will be totally different for us!

Shabby Chic Dollhouse - a commission
I have not done the Shabby Cic dollhouse in a couple of years.
I did make this house a bit taller to accommodate a bed upstairs.
This interior will have just a touch of pink in the swan wallpaper.
I already added the curtains upstairs while the roof was half off.
