Christmas Dollhouse Interior Progress

I'm getting the inside of the Christmas dollhouse done.
I hand painted everything in there. I just tried the fireplace to check the size. I still need to sand it and paint it.
I couldn't resist trying the little painting!
Here I glued in the door trim. I wanted to hinge the door before I put the walls together. Guess not! I totally forgot. Now I'll have to do it the hard way!

Home Sweet Gnome

I took better pictures of the little gnome home. And I listed it on Etsy.
I had this tiny 1 1/2" inch pot. I filled it with moss. I made a house from card board, totally freehand. I knew which size I wanted, cut out a bottom and walls. Glued everything together and capped it with a roof. Then I decided to make a little gnome from paper clay.
I also made that little pumpkin from paper clay.
I painted everything with that whimsical touch and VOILA! ;)

A Christmas Whimsical Dollhouse and a Gnome!

I've started a new dollhouse! This one will be Christmas themed. It will have a very fun, whimsical look. Here's the miniature painting for above the fireplace. It's a signed original! :)
I also worked on plastering walls and painted the floor>
To stay busy I also made this tiny gnome and his house. I'll list it in my etsy shop tomorrow after I've taken better pictures!

Summer Fantasy Cottage Paper House Putz Style

I had a craving for a little house on a cake stand. I went everywhere looking for one of those cute cake stands. I didn't find any. You know I'll be finding dozens next week! But for this one I went to the craft store and bought an unfinished candlestick holder and a wood circle. And I painted the candlestick with my favorite patterns. This is how it turned out:
It's a handmade cardboard house covered with plaster and painted. All original of course!
I saw a pink pumpkin on someone's blog and I couldn't resist! I made it from paper clay. I put moss and little mushrooms by serenitymosaics.

This is all hand painted with my favorites.
That's a little pink glittery heart on the back.
It's a house a fairy would be happy to call home!

A Paper Teepee

I got a request from Jenny for a teepee.  It was quite fun to make! Here's how it came out:
The theme was patriotic teepee. The floor is a worn red with cream dots. Also the walls in the teepee are dark blue with red roses just for some whimsical touch!  The velvet strawberry is made from a suede like fabric. Then I decorated with a little banner and buttons.
Little paw prints on one side.
Back side.

Patriotic Little Paper Houses

Another special order! This time for red, white, and blue mini houses! I started out with the same template for all these houses. Then I added little dormers or bump outs. The colors and patterns are all whimsy!

Everything looks good in sparkles! I also made each cottage a matching little strawberry that hangs from the chimney.  The bushes are paper clay.

Fairytale Storybook Cottage Dollhouse: So Whimsical!

Straight out of a storybook, this fairytale cottage started out as the Buttercup Dollhouse Kit. I customized it into a totally unique, one of a kind house.

Everything is handmade. First, I cut out more windows. I added a plaster and concrete interior and exterior. I changed the roof lines into whimsical ones. The main roof is thatched with coconut fibers and decorated with mosses. The little roof on the side are shingles I made by cutting and painting thick cardboard. This part of the house has crooked bricks and crooked shingles, just like the storybook ones!

Everything is hand carved, hand painted, and handmade. Signed, one of a kind, original.

Thatched Roof For the Dollhouse

I put the thatched roof on the cottage dollhouse. It's really looking like a fairytale house now.
The little side bay has bricks that are all crooked. I saw this in one of my French magazines. I thought it was too cute!
All the roof whimsical curves are reinforced with concrete. This house is as sturdy as a real one!
Thatching a roof is hard, I have to admit. It's very dirty and sticky! And for a girl who like to have clean hands, it was a challenge!  Thi roof still needs to be trimmed and detailed.  It looks a little wild right now! I did put one window in on the side. I'm glad I didn't decide to put all the windows in. It would have made things harder.
