Gypsy Travel Trailer Dollhouse: All Done!

This was absolutely the most eclectic mini I've done so far. It's already sold to Debra who is creating a vacation theme I think! She already has the beach house. Thanks Deb!

Here's the original Magnolia Pearl Airstream...
And this is mine. I had to leave off the name since I never heard from Pearl. I thought about putting Cinderella Moments but then I decided to leave it without the name all together.
I also left off the license plate. It's new owner will have to put on their own state plates! LOL!

I put the light switch and battery in the air conditioning unit.

  1. As someone who adores a good travel trailer, this seriously tugs at all the right strings. If I had an extra 185 and some room (I'm currently moving across country and thinking about moving into my own travel trailer!), I would buy this little baby up.

  3. O.K. I am back because I am so smitten.....did you actually build the wooden structure yourself?? What are the dimensions?

AND last question...what can top this...what is the next project?

p.s. thinking I might have to make several more faerie houses and actually sell them to call this piece mine.

  14. Hi Jonna!
I hope you get this email! There's no address so let me know if you get this. I'll put it as a comment in case you don't get this.
I think it will be loads of fun for you to make! I did paint all the flowers on the outside. They are really easy roses. If you look closely at the Magnolia Pearl you'll see that it's all graffiti type of painting. So the roses are skiggly swirls of at least 3 colors. The pink roses are pink, red and a tiny bit of yellow. The red roses are red, I used a little pink, a dot or line of black and a little yellow. The key to painting the out side was not cleaning my brush. So for the green I mixed it with brown and a little yellow. It makes this very gypsy looking paint job.
The battery and light is a set from anyone who sells roomboxes. I shop at www.ModelTrainSoftware.com They have the best prices usually.
The wallpaper is bits of paper I've collected over the years and some I got off the internet. You can find a lot on websites that sell wallpaper. I didn't tear mine but in the Magnolia Pearl some pieces are just torn. That will be the easiest wallpaper job you'll ever do!

  18. ¡Es preciosa!
El interior ya te dije que era muy acogedor con esa luz y tanto detalle.
Hoy la enseñas terminada. El esterior está perfecto. Puede ser hippie, gitana, en realidad es libertad de movimientos.
    Me encanta.

  22. This was well before my blogging days, so I'm really happy you posted a link - another brilliant and inspiring creation! I can see me getting "commissioned" to try to create one for the dollshouse museum - will give full credit for the inspiration obviously, if I ever get round to it!!
