The Donut Shop Dollhouse, Donuts, and a Tiny Church

The Donut Shop has its siding. I used Popsicle sticks and it worked wonderfully.
The lights are in. I hid the battery and switch in one of the chimneys.
It's now painted. It turned out more teal than I expected, but I love it.
The inspiration cottage painted by Kim at Kim's Cottage Art has a touch more blue in the mix.  Close enough!
I think it looks adorable.
I've tried my hand at dollhouse sized doughnuts! Here's what I've done so far  and how I did it...
I used air dry clay.
I start with a little pea sized  ball of clay, flattened it with my finger and used a dowel to poke a hole through it.
To get a bigger hole in the bigger doughnuts I used my meat thermometer...
That's it! Pretty simple. Tomorrow I'll paint them and we'll see how they look.

I also worked on a little 1/4th scale church.
This is from Corona's Santa's Village Kit. Made a couple of changes: I cut out the back to have access and I added  working doors. I used a box cutter to make the cut.
I carved the wood floor boards with the box cutter and made the grooves larger with a pointy tool.
Here's a perspective on how big it is.
I'm using concrete on the steeple and sculpting stones.
I used black paint and mahogany color both thinned out with water and rubbed it inside to get an aged/abandoned look.
