This house will have plain white curtains. They are 9" in length. I like tall curtains hung far above the window and puddling onto the floor. First, I pin the curtains in position on a piece of cardboard.
Then I spray with hairspray so it will keep it's form. You can also use starch spray for the same result.
When you take the pins out, the curtains stay the way you had them pinned. I use craft sticks cut in half lengthwise and painted white for my curtain rods. Next time- the finished house!
Мне очень понравились занавески! Они такие воздушные! Домик с занавесками выглядит уютным.

Hi Caroline! I share your taste in long floor length puddling curtains. I find that they provide a touch of glamour to a room. I love those long wide paned windows. The curtains look marvelous. Thank you for sharing how you made them.

ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic idea to keep the curtains in place! I was wondering what to do and didn't like the look of the folded paper ones. Pinning the idea! :)

I hope you're okay, Caroline. I rarely listen to the news but I did today and I saw there was a tornado in the northern part of Texas. I know you live in Texas. Hope you were not hit.

Hi Caroline,
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear everything is fine with you tornado wise, and also that you are back from your wonderful sounding beach vacation all in one
piece. Lizzie is so cute, love the shots with her nose all covered with sand.....lol
Nice shot of her Mommy too.....at first I thought she was your hair,
and then realized it was the dog.
I was thinking wow the beach really mad your hair wild at the ends. lol
So glad you had a good time hon.
and also like how you did the curtains for your lil house, great idea......you are just full of those.
Have a great weekend,
Blessings, Nellie
