I can't believe my eyes! It's a dream I'm sure. I am so humbled by this incredible event. Dollhouse design and building is such a joy for me.
I remember the first time I built Sandy Foster's little Shabby Streamside Studio as a dollhouse. It was just 2 months after making my very first dollhouse. I saw her studio and knew it was the perfect fit for Cinderella Moments.
I couldn't wait to finish this dollhouse. I'd wake up in the morning, jump out of bed and get right to work.
The vintage charm was just what I loved. The studio was so easy to turn it into a miniature delight.
And Sandy Foster is the sweetest person ever. Having connected with her through this project was such an honor. The article says she's changed the little studio. Wonder what it looks like now??
If you are interested in buying this dollhouse please view the commissions page link at the top of my blog. It takes me about one and a half weeks to make this shabby chic house. If you are interested email me. PDF and books are also available if you are interested in building your own: http://www.blurb.com/b/3740085-a-shabby-chic-dollhouse
The link is up now. The newspaper comes out in print Thursday May 23, 2013.
Congrats Caroline!

Caroline, es preciosa la casita! te felicito.
ReplyDeleteHi Caroline! That was a very interesting article and I found out to my surprise that your little cottage and the cottage in the Catskills were related!? I had read about that cottage in Victoria Magazine and I fell for it hard! It just seemed so dreamy and the little loft bedroom was like a dream come true! ( All those books!) I recall the opening photo of Sandra clomping up the wet hillside with a big pair of Wellies, while wearing a white frothy dress and I thought, " What a contrast and how daring!" I treasured that article and so it was a happy surprise to learn that your little cottage was inspired by that little piece of heaven. It makes your work even more special knowing that you were also impacted by that beautiful, and magical space!
