I already started my interior. With a patchwork of wallpapers on the front wall. The floor is wood Popsicle sticks. The ceiling is "tin" tiles(made with hot glue method you'll find in my tutorial link on the right sidebar) that are all different designs, color and with some missing. The pink crystal chandelier will probably get some flowers added on. It's another battery operated kit from Evan Design I get through Mainly Minis with free shipping! I'll start listing all my shopping places on the sidebar to the right under the tutorials. If you have any fantastic mini links let me know I'll add them too.
I'm planning a dirty little attic up here.
For the house I used the Primrose kit by Greenleaf. It has the perfect little footprint for a cozy cottage. It's my absolute favorite to use. I just cut out more/different windows or doors to make a custom one of a kind. This is an addition kit. You can find it all over the internet. I like using HobbyWarehouse. It just depends who has the best price.
Here I have lengthened the front window and added an attic window. I also changed the roof line. I hope I can make 3 lanterns of some sort to hang above the door. The 3 bulbs are already in place.
The side has a big window now and an attic window.
Remember, if you have any tips or links you want to share with other mini makers drop me a note!
I KNOW I'm going to love this one!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see it finished.
Have a great day.

ReplyDeleteYou've done it again!! Blown my little dollhouse box of knowledge out of the water! I called and asked the shop in Canada that sells this little house and they told me it was not customizable and that the small additions didn't fit onto it. WELL!! Looky, looky, looky!! You have it all figured out! Now, could you hurry up a bit please, I'd like to see what it will be like when it's assembled! (*grin* ... *tee-hee*)
