Angel Studio Dollhouse

My new dollhouse is an art studio called Angel Studio.  It's a 1/12 scale cottage with battery operated lights.
I had bought these doors for the french mansard house "La Maison de Campagne."  But they got lost and arrived 2 weeks late. I think it all worked out for the best!
I called this house Angel Studio because of these little paintings I painted of wings.  I made 2 benches, a little clay house and flowers. The pink flowers are tissue paper.
The vines are from Hobby Lobby. I just cut them into small pieces to be 1/12th scale. The flowers are called Heathers. They come in different colors. I also cut those up  to be in scale.
The siding is birch.
Here's the little switch for the lights hidden in the chimney.
I painted a rug, more wings paintings and filled a metal tub with fabrics.

The desk is overloaded with stuff. Just like my desk is most of the time. LOL!
There's even a snack because you can't create on an empty stomach. :D

The memo board is also loaded with ideas and projects.

There's an old shutter behind another painting of wings.
I made these wings out of cardstock.
On this side of the studio the wall is a chalkboard. You can get sheets of chalkboard in the scrapbook section of the craft store. I made a little camping cot and used it like a bench here.  I put an old window behind it and also more paintings, a nice big pillow, clay house, a wooden box full of tiny pine cones I got out of a potpourri set.
Thanks so much for coming over and taking a look at Angel Stdio. It's available in my Etsy shop.
And on a personal note...
Our sweet , beautiful Mia passed away Monday.  We will miss her so much. She was with us for almost 18 years. It's always so difficult to let them go. But I know she's waiting in heaven. And I thank God he loaned her to us for such a long time. Rest in peace gorgeous girl. You were such a sophisticated, good girl. ♥♥♥

hugs♥,

  22. It's beautiful and incredibly enchanting! I have to say it isn't often I see a mini room that I want to rummage about in, there are so many fun little details.

So sorry to hear about your cat Mia, she looks very like my Minnie, who is getting on a bit. Once word gets out that they live to 18 in your house, you might have another cat on your doorstep before you know it :D It was a mighty age for her x

  24. So sorry about Mia. It's always difficult to lose a pet- they become a part of our families.

Love the art studio! The cardstock angel wings on the back of the chair are perfect. Love all the intentional clutter on the desk. So realistic. The mini pinecones are great too! How do you find time to make so many miniatures? After work and life, I find I have no energy or time left.

  25. Another fabulous cottage. I don't know how you do it; such wonderful detail. I have said before, you inspire me. My dollhouses are on hold until after the holidays. I miss working on them. I am so sorry for Mia. She looks like a very sweet kitty. We lost both of our cats, one at 17 the other at 18. I am sure Mia lived a wonderful life and you will miss her greatly.

  26. Love your Angel house Caroline! Its simplicity is its beauty. Our fur babies are like our children and even though they're never far, we long for them. My 20+ yr old fur baby went to kitty heaven just Nov. 15th so I feel the pain of your loss. Christmas blessings to you and your family!

  29. I'm so sorry about your sweet Mia:( RIP little kitty!

Your Angel Studio is so breathtaking!!! I love cherub wings and seeing them in miniature is just adorable:) Love the busy desk, I even spotted some miniature pencils!

BTW, do you know whatever happened to Sandy Foster from the Shabby Streamside blog? I just got a new RA book and her little shabby chic cabin is in there so I started wondering how she was doing but wasn't able to find her active on any social media. I hope she does an updated blog post one of these days!
