The Jolly Gingerbread Custom Dollhouse

The Jolly Gingerbread Dollhouse is ready to ship to it's new owner!
The house is 20" tall x 14 1/2" across x 15"deep.
I did the walls as I always do- covered with plaster. But for this house I tried not to smooth things out too much. I used 3 different brown paints. One regular brown, one light brown and one a yellowish brown. You want to blend the colors from a darker brown on the edges to a lighter brown in the center.
For the icing, I used 3 different types of mediums. One was just regular plaster, one was the light weight spackling plaster and one was Snow-Tex. I piped the icing on with a pastry tip on the end of a ZipLock bag.  Use a bit of hot glue to affix your pastry tip to the inside of the bag and it won't make any mess as you pipe on the icing.
All the candy came from the tiny tree ornament section at Hobby Lobby.
The white and red candy cane trim around the window is wood rope trim I got from Home Depot.








 I put a realistic fire led light in the fireplace.

    Your gingerbread house is fantastic, it's really like in a fairy-tale. I like it very much and the inside with the Christmas scene is another treat. Such wonderful details and colours. I love all your curtains, the decorations on the dining table and the bed.

    Yummie! Your gingerbread house is fantastic, dear Caroline! I love the colors and the painted furniture, bed and chest are also so beautiful!!! Nutcrackers are my favorite faeries... At Xmas Hollidays, i am going to the ballet of Tchaïkovski with my grandaughters....

    I can't believe how cute the house is--well, of course I can. I love the detail, especially the framed Santa above the fireplace, the nut cracker on the little dresser, and the collection of minis on the table. Your client will absolutely love this little house. I am thinking that I should one.

    I like that I can't decide which is more impressive, internal or external. I like gingerbread cake on the table. Works great with home. Amazing work and very creative ideas. Especially the Santa framed above the fireplace, the nutcracker on the small dresser, and the collection of semen on the table. Your client will love this little house. I think I should do one.
