Romantic Dollhouse Gazebo: Angel Fountain

I've added more roses. It's a slow process since I make them each by hand.

I also added moss between the stones. That made a huge difference!

These are some little fallen petals I made.

And this is what arrived in the mail today. I wasn't sure how it would look. But when I took it out of the box I was pleasantly surprised a the amount of detail on this little guy. I'm going to try adding "water" .  First, I'll do a little bit of aging on the fountain. I was going to do verdigris. But I love the cream color. So I'll just add a tiny bit of green and rust.

I think this is the right spot for the fountain. See what I mean about the cream color? It just fits in so well.

Romantic Dollhouse Gazebo: Roses, tulle and chandelier

Here's the gazebo so far. I started putting some roses on. It looks like I'll be making roses for a long long time!

This is all the fabric I dyed for roses and leaves.

Here are the colors I use for aging stones. 3 shades of green and to golden browns.

This paintbrush is perfect for doing the detailed rust and moss spots on the stones. It's a very used, old brush that makes perfect markings.

I also finished the chandelier. I added 7 more arms and the roses.

This picture makes the chandelier look crooked!

This is the gazebo with some of the tulle on.

I wanted to see just how many roses I would need so I started one vine.

I used pink tulle to drape the top roof  and sides.

I can't wait to get more roses on there. I'm also going to use real moss.

New Project: A Customized Romantic Dollhouse Gazebo

  My plan was to take a week away from miniature world. Since Christmas is this week and with it comes all this busy busy fun! But I couldn't keep to that plan. I went into the Cinderella Moments closet to get shipping supplies and the gazebo box fell at my feet. A sign!! I can take a hint!
  I had this gazebo all planned in my head already of course! I have 1000s of magazines I keep. And each one has fantastic pictures that I know will turn into a project. I can remember exactly which magazine each picture is in, but I can't remember people's names or my own phone number. Go figure! For this gazebo, these are the pictures I collected:

There's the Faconnable catalog below. They have the best photos of old stones. If they knew that this is why I love their catalog! LOL!

Then the Country Home magazine. I couldn't pass up this amazing chandelier!

Mine is almost done. I just need to add the roses and a few crystals.

And I love the magical picture I saw in a Victoria magazine. Those are all pink petals on the ground.

I'm not sure how much patience that would require to get all these petals made and glued on. We'll see if I do this part. Maybe on a smaller scale! Like at a corner or something.
I started making roses. I figure I need a million of those!

And here's the gazebo with the stone floor started.

I painted everything a base color off white. It's called coconut milk. It was one of those quarts someone messed up at the home improvement store. Worked for me!

 The dots on the top of the roof line are just glue dots painted. The trellis design just under is cardboard I cut with one of those amazing hole punchers. Painted it looks like a fabulous detailed molding.

Next time you see this floor it should be looking like old stones.

Christmas Carol Dollhouse:Done!

I finally finished the Christmas Carol Dollhouse. Took me forever to do a dollhouse during the Christmas season!

Here it is!

 This chandelier is in an upstairs bedroom and is a non working one.

 This gold chandelier has a battery operated light in it. The red chandelier below also has a battery operated light.

 There are LED lights outside.

 I made all the curtains in the house custom.
