Shabby Streamside Studio #2! Dollhouse

I know I was suppose to be doing Cinderella's cottage. But I got side tracked! I had this craving to make the shabby chic little cabin from Sandy Foster's My Shabby Streamside Studio again.

Her little romantic getaway is so inspiring! I loved making the first one and as soon as it sold I had requests to make it again. So here goes!

I started a couple of days ago and it has moved along at lightning speed! Everything fit together easily and at the first try. Shocking!!

This time I decided to use plaster inside and concrete out. The last one had cardboard wainscoting. This will make it super strong.

While the plaster was still wet I drew in my wainscoting lines.

I used the hot glue technique on the fireplace wall. That is I drew on a simple design and used my small glue gun to follow those lines. Once dry just paint over the glue and you get a 3 D design.

The wood floor is cut up pine Popsicle sticks.

This is the screen door and the front door.

I just carved out the panels on both sides of the door with a little knife.

This is the flower box. Also with the hot glue treatment for the design.

The inside got 2 coats of paint on the plaster.

I made the tin tiles from cardboard cut into 2" squares and hot glued design. I made the fireplace from left over scraps of wood.

The mirror is from Hobby Lobby. It was gold. I painted it white with just one coat of paint so the dark color would show through.

This is the ceiling under the loft. Again the hot glue tin tiles. This time I made them directly on the wood. This chandelier will be battery powered.
