Cozy Cottage is done! It's very much inspired by the Witch's Cottage in Beverly Hills.
This house it was the roof that was the challenge. It's the lumpiest roof yet! It turned out so fairytale like.
It's in my Etsy Shop!
Hello Caroline! OOOhhhh I love it! Your lumpy roof line is wonderful and I can not imagine how you did it! I love the irregularity and the rustic quality and it really is very much like a fairy tale cottage! It is delightful and the interior has a european country feel to it, probably because of the strong lattice pattern on the wall. I like the mix with the secondary paper and the black fireplace looks terrific; you have unified them well. The exterior is beautifully done and the way that the walls are plastered is perfect for the story book theme. I love it, Caroline, you have done a great job!

It's a great fairy tale house. I can almost hear the narrator start. "Once upon a time". I love the way you decorate your houses. This house is breathtakingly adorable and narrative in its exterior expression. Beautiful swing of the roof. You've really hit something special here.

Absolutely love that curvy fairtytale roof - it's completely enchanting. Reminds me of that nursery rhyme - "There was a crooked man", which ends up: "and they all lived together in a little crooked house"! Brilliant work.

Lovely! The Tudor style is fantastic paired with they wavy roof and shingles. So much fun added to such a traditional, dark style of architecture!

Hi Caroline,
ReplyDeleteI love how your cozy cottage turned out, it is so adorable, love the curve of the roof, reminds me of the trees in the Dr. Suess's the grinch stole christmas, I think it is.........we have some lil trees like that I found at Sears as Christmas oranaments a few years back, they were so cute.
It also has a bit of a bavarian feel to it as well. Just Grand as usual.
Hope all is well with you sweetie.
We are in countdown mode 11 days left till the move.........
Have a lovely weekend.
Love and Blessings, Nellie
