Everything is painted white except the fabric on the top of the wall. I made a sink/stove, a table, bed and mantel. The chairs are from Hobby Lobby.
For the exterior I used the same ridged paper but horizontally this time. Sorry for the dark photos but a huge storm was happening at the time.
Now I'm putting in lights and trimming the outside. I'll be back soon to show this.
Thanks so much for coming by!
Hugs,
Caroline
Love how you use simple, inexpensive materials to create very realistic looks. It's adorable. Good job.
ReplyDeleteSo light and beautiful! The mantel makes this more like a living room. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteI love how this being, I am looking forward to seeing the end result.
ReplyDeleteA big hugs :0)
Hello Caroline,
ReplyDeleteAs always, your miniatures are so inventive, realistic and very homely. I love the ridged paper, it's very effective in both its uses, but especially handy for curving around the outside of the trailer. I'm looking forward to seeing how you finish this little home off....it'll be stunning I have no doubt!
All the best
Vivian

ReplyDeleteThat is so cute! I love the ridged paper, and the fireplace. I have some one-sided corrugated cardboard I've been meaning to use - your wainscoting idea is perfect!

Muy bonito! Una caravana así es mi asignatura pendiente!
ReplyDelete¡Hola! Bonito trabajo. Me gusta el efecto del cartón estriado, da un bonito aspecto a ala carrocería. La mesa y las sillas están fenomenal .Espero ver como pintas ese exterior.
ReplyDeleteI like the way you used the cardboard. I always wondered how it would work. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI am wondering what sort of vehicle I would need to go traveling pulling your trailer? My dad had a think for old red Rambler station wagons. He even owned a huge '96 Chevy station wagon that was about a block long. We drove it the Houston one year for Christmas. Hubby drives a F 250 Ford Pick-up, too modern for this sweet trailer. Love it. And thank you so much for answering my questions.
ReplyDeleteI already like the way it looks. It is cozy.
