Beach Dollhouse

My new project is a beach dollhouse.  I've gathered many ideas by looking at Key West houses.  The first things I've been playing around with are surfboards.  I looked around for dollhouse surfboards, but I didn't find any. So I cut some out of cardboard and painted them.

The surfboards only have one coat of gloss here.  So I'm going to try putting 3 or 4 more coats and see how they look.
This is the kit I went with: the Greenleaf Adam's Dollhouse. Now I have to wait for it to get here!

I chose this kit because it has the porch.  It already looks very close to the Key West dollhouse I've planned.
I also painted the roofing as a metal roof.  I still want to do the siding. But I haven't picked the color yet. So many choices!

  1. I love the way your finished the Modern House and now on to fun exciting doll houses.

Have you also seen the community of Seaside, Florida? It is full of awesome tiny houses that are so darling. The style is kind of what all of Northern FL. Panhandle is building.

I love the beautiful pale colors against the blue skies and the stairsteps might be the toughest project.

I love all that you are building. The surf boards are incredible. I found a miniature magazine with a tear drop trailer on the inside to make. But it was part 2 of 2 and I missed the Part 1. I might try to make an inside view anyway.

    Thanks for my blog comments.

I will have to just make Goodwill trips also, I still have lots of stuff!

    Smiles, Cyndi
