This is the one for the loft. I hope it's small enough.
I did the porch floor with the pine sticks, added the step. I also finally hinged the screen door!
Tomorrow is my Dad's birthday. That's why today I didn't work on the house as much. I went hunting for a cake. But I haven't found a good bakery. So I came back home and my mother and I made one. She made the cake and icing and I did the marzipan strawberries.
My sisters say it's too girly. But I say our dad is used to girly by now. He's surrounded by girly girls. He doesn't stand a chance!!
...looks goooooood!! ~ and if you can make a romantic cottage from scratch, you can make a fanciful cake!!!! ~ if it's as good as it looks, your dad won't mind the girlyness...he'll be to busy feeling the love :)

Happy birthday to your dad, and if he's like most males he won't give a hoot what it looks like, so long as it tastes good :)
ReplyDeleteI just had to take the time to leave a comment cos I think you've done such a great job on that screen door - I've been looking at Sandy's studio for months so feel pretty familiar with it's 'essence' and you seem to be capturing it so very well.
Back to cleaning a week's worth of craft debris from the living room floor...
Make a little Chandelier and then mix a cake and decorate it!?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteYour talent has no bounds.
