A Shabby Chic Retreat for Susan

I have finished the Shabby Chic Retreat. I hope I have captured that special look Susan was looking for in her very own Cinderella Moments Cottage! Here are some pictures...

I'm so happy with this fireplace. I started off with a few pieces of left over wood. I used the hot glue gun to make some 3D little designs. I painted the whole thing with a gray/beige paint. Then I added layers. First, a bright white, then cream paint and I finished it all off with that old brown looking color. That's actually a brown inking pad I used. You know those you use for stamping. It works so well and it is a breeze to apply!
The painting is my own hand painted roses. I did the edges of the painting with the same ink pad.

I made the chandelier with wire I painted cream. I used beads as candles. The roses are made out of fabric. The chandelier hangs from a little chain of crystal seed beads.
This house was absolutely a charm to make! It came together so quickly and easily.
