Sprinkled With Love Cottage Dollhouse

I'm starting to put the siding on the house.  I used cardboard with the top layer ripped off. I butter the house with concrete and then stick on the siding.  This makes the house strong for shipping.
Inside everything is white. I put the Swiss dot lace curtains in already. And the chandeliers are all wired in place.

I'm also working on the Ballerina Cottage. I tried to age the mirrors. No luck yet. I think I'll have to go the traditional road with paint thinner and Drano splatters or maybe bleach. I'll let you know which works.

  5. That's so funny that you describe the application of the concrete layer as 'buttering' since I think this concrete stuff is the best thing since sliced bread!! (All puns intended!!)

  6. For good info on how to age a mini mirror (or a big one I guess) go to Margaret's blog 'My Petite Parterre' (link below) - look for Margaret's comment dated 5 Nov on the post that this link goes to -

  14. Hi Caroline, I had to come by this evening and see what you have been doing . I love the houses you are building and I can't wait to see your ballerina cottage. A Belated
Happy New Year. We are having the strangest weather in our area. We go to the 60's, to the 40;s and then lower, but no snow yet. Have a great week. Your Missouri Friend.
