Grey Manor: the beginning

Hi everyone!  I have been working on a new project dollhouse called Grey Manor.  This is a french style house from scratch.  I made it 14" across the front facade x 12 1/2" deep and 19" tall.
I have the dining area furniture already all done.  I made a farm style table with spindle legs. The legs are stair spindles sold by Hobby Lobby: http://www.hobbylobby.com/Crafts-Hobbies/Dollhouses-Miniatures/Building-Electrical-Components/Miniature-Stair-Landing-Spindles/p/30548
They work great as table legs and you can also cut the smaller for upholstered chairs. Which is what I did for my two white chairs.

There's a PDF from House of Miniatures for the chair:http://www.houseofminiatures.info/pdf/40016.pdf
Print out page 2 with all the drawn out pieces to make templates. I could only print directly from the internet. When I downloaded the PDF to my pc it would not print out(just in case you have the same problem!)
I made the mantel from birch wood.
And the long flower box on the table was an idea I got from the dining room at Laurieannas.com  It's a gorgeous website with lots of inspiration for your dollhouse.
The chandelier is also done. I put wood bark and moss for an earthy look.
Next, I'll share my tutorial for a dollhouse bed. You know the cozy, messy kind you'd love to jump into!
Till then have a fantastic time with your minis!

Les Fleurs de Danielle Flowershop

I did a little flower shop for Wilma's little girl Danielle.

 This flower shop is 10 1/4" tall x 7 3/4" x 7 3/4".

Everything inside and outside is loose. So there's maximum fun playing with all the accessories. I made the crates, table, and clay houses. The pots are filled with paper roses and Heather's from Hobby Lobby
The little chandelier has a light bulb. I chose this chandelier because it looked very outdoors with a finish that feels like stone.

The switch and battery are at the top of the shop.

Thanks for coming by!
Have a terrific week with lots of creating!

The Old Country House Custom Dollhouse

My newest dollhouse is The Old Country house. This is a 2 story custom house built from scratch.
On this house I used a ready made door and 2 ready square dormer windows. All the other windows are custom.  This dollhouse is 19 1/2" tall(including the chimney) x 13" wide x 14 3/4" deep.
The colors are a light taupe for the siding with white trims and a light grey roof. The chimney is concrete.
I am including mailboxes on all my houses since I made the trailer! I just love them.  I also made a little crate and 3 flower boxes.
The underside of the porch turned out fantastic with the planks looking all weathered.
And this porch has a swing. I had not done a swing in quite some time.

The battery and switch and hidden in the chimney.
 The siding is birch.

There is only one coat of paint on the siding. It gave a marvelous vintage look with the grain of the wood showing through.

The chair is my own creation. As it the little wooden table, chandeliers, rug, clay houses, paintings, box of photos.
 The stairs are purchased.
I also purchased this little metal table from the fairy garden department at Hobby Lobby. The little chair that comes with it is on the porch. The box of photos is something I saw on Pinterest. Easy to do!
This is a pie cabinet sold at Hobby Lobby. It comes in a brown finish. I stripped off all the varnish and repainted it white, aged it with brown ink and finished it off with random grey paint streaks. The dot paper I used in the door is a translucent paper from Michael's Craft store(scrapbook).
The ceiling is scrapbook textured paper which has been aged with a brown ink pad.
This is the area in front of the stair landing. Super aged, super vintage!
Upstairs I made a bed, a bench a clay house and books.  The nightstand is a purchased piece. I removed 2 drawers for a more rustic look.
All the curtains are sprayed with hairspray so they stay perfectly in place and draping like real curtains.
The chandelier is crystal seed beads. You can find the tutorial by clicking the tutorial tab at the top of the page.
These little benches are easy to make and add tons of character to a room.
I made a messy bedding this time. My last house had the bed perfectly made. Someone has already jumped in this one to read a book. :)
I made these 4 sketches of villages and sealed them with modge podge.
That's my dollhouse! I am listing it on Etsy.(cinderellamoments.etsy.com)
Thank you so much for your company! I hope you have a wonderful day.

The Old Country House

As usual I'm super busy working on tons of projects! One is my new dollhouse "The Old Country House.
The downstairs is coming together perfectly. I usually write down all the details and finishes before I start.
Then I second guess myself. But I decided to stick with what was written down. And I like it!

I'm also writing the 1:6 scale book.

And I got some gifts I won too!

This is from Alisha at Minifanaticus. I loved this potting bench as soon as I saw it on her blog.  I couldn't believe my eyes when I read she was giving it away.
It's so shabby chic perfect!
Alisha asked me what else I would love to have. That was easy! I love the drippy candles!
I don't play with that kind of clay/sculpy. So to have Alisha give some candles to me was heaven!
Aren't they the most perfect things!
Thank you so much Alisha! I love your creations so much! They look so incredible! Don't forget to visit her at http://minifanaticus.blogspot.com/ if you have not yet seen her work.
Alright, back to work for me! Thanks so much for checking in! Have a wonderful day!
