Romantic Log Cabin Custom Dollhouse

That's right I finished it!
I made the roof with cardboard with the top layer ripped off to expose the ridges. I wanted to put metal on, but the look just wasn't the same. This roof looks so much more aged and rustic. I just love it!
I decided to put a pink bottle brush tree in there too. You can never be too early for Christmas!

This little welcome mat is a rectangle of felt with painted dots. Very simple!

This one is available at CinderellaMoments on Etsy.

Romantic Log Cabin Custom Dollhouse

There are times when I can wait patiently finishing the outside of a dollhouse first and then doing the interior decorating. This is NOT one of those times. I nearly exploded with excitement over my little shabby chic interior!
I blame Pinterest entirely!  Not only do I get my ideas organized, but I also get to see  everybody else's amazing internet finds!!
First, I saw this cute cupcake on an adorable kitchen's wall:
I couldn't resist it!
This is my little cupcake made by using thick canvas(book binding). I also made a little pink banner that reads "Happily Ever After."

I also got this idea for a crystal curtain:
Here is a mini version:
With a little tea stained piece of lace for the bottom curtain.
I finished the wood floor and made a gray/taupe wash for it.(watered down paint to let the wood grain show.)
The door is also done and hinged.
Here is the fireplace mantle. With a pennant banner, a hand painted sign, bouquet of fabric roses and a tiny bird house. The bird house is cardboard and it is on a pedestal made from a push pin.
I put on the roof. I painted the ceiling a very faint pink. I just love the sweet  glow this gives the room.

On the exterior, I made the stone bottom out of concrete.

Romantic Log Cabin Custom Dollhouse

Here's my next project! It's the Shady Brook Log Cabin with a few changes to customize it.
My log cabin is all white of course! I want a very girly and romantic cabin.
I started with a taupe base and dry brushed white on top.
The inside is creamy white in color. I'm starting the wood floor. I'm planning a cutesy interior with pastel decorations.

Romantic Dollhouse Gazebo: Finished!

I made all the roses! That was like being a florist! I hope this gazebo makes spring get here faster.
O.K. here are the pictures:
Here's the switch fort the light. It's on a back rafter.
I made a vine to hide the wires.

Under this moss, I hid the battery. It's still accessible.
I lifted the moss to reveal the battery.

It's always a challenge to hide wires, batteries and any unsightly things! But I got it done.

This was a terrific project. If you need a break from doors and walls, this is the one to go for!
GAZEBO AVAILABLE AT CINDERELLA MOMENTS.
